The Volunteer Center located in Oak Park, Illinois just west of Chicago, serves as a clearinghouse for residents seeking volunteer opportunities and provides niche social services programming for at-risk youth and senior citizens with mental health disabilities.  The Volunteer Center was established as a 501 (c)(3) organization in 1985 and serves more than 750 volunteers and program clients, annually.  

Our vision is for volunteerism to become a natural part of everyday life in Western Cook County.  The Volunteer Center aspires to be recognized as the leading local resource that promotes and supports volunteerism.  Additionally, The Volunteer Center will strive to provide direct programs to fill community voids.
