A new and improved look to our website will be coming soon! Our vision is for volunteerism to become a natural part of everyday life. The Volunteer Center aspires to be recognized as the leading local resource that promotes and supports volunteerism. Additionally, The Volunteer Center strives to provide direct programs to fill community voids in areas such as teen mentoring, building self-esteem and confidence for the mentally ill and addressing the needs of at risk adolescents. The Volunteer Center is pleased to announce new initiatives focused on Family Volunteering. Families are very busy these days and it is difficult to find time to spend together or to fit volunteering into daily lives. Family volunteering is a way to do that and be involved in the community at the same time. We have listed some websites which provide reading materials which will encourage children to learn about charitable giving and volunteering. We have also listed some websites which might provide some ideas for family volunteering.
